There are so many types of guys... and they can all seem confusing! Check out these tricks for getting to know the one(s) you like.

The Crush You've Barely Spoken To, Like, Ever

You've liked him forever, but never got up the nerve to talk to him? Try saying a simple "hi". Deliver it with a smile, and you'll come off as nice and friendly. If he says "hi" back, follow up with a little comment. Keep it simple, like, "Another thrilling math class" or "That weekend went by so fast." (Just don't blurt out a love confession!)

The Guy Friend Who You Like As More

Start not with words, but with body language. Guys tend to be more into actions than words, so he'll pick up on subtle clues. Give him your best smile, hold his arm, hug him for a little longer. If you sense he's not into it, proceed with caution, or put your plans on hold. But if you think he's feeling it too, hint that you "might" be starting to think of him as more than a friend. To protect yourself, pose it as a question: "Hey, have you ever thought about us as a couple?"
The Guy Every Girl Wants

Oh no, it's too obvious - you like Mr. Popular. Since there's a line-up of girls trying to get his atention, make sure he's worth the effort before you join in the wait. If you have something in common, like you're both into drama or the same music, go for it. But if all you kow about him is that he's great-looking, consider trying for another guy. If you decide to go after him, you might want to pretend you don't notice him anyway - it could set you apart from the other girls who are chasing him, and make you seem mysterious and interesting.

The Guy Who Nobody Would Expect You To Like

Maybe he's a geek who's a hottie in disguise. Or he's a prep, and all your friends are strictly-black-clothing. Whatever the difference in your styles, if you see something in his personality, you should make a move. Chances are, if you see something in him, other girls do too, so you don't want to lose your chance. To get closer to him, tell him you like his shirt, or ask if he wants to study together. If he's not used to getting girl attention, he'll probably be flattered by yours. Just remember, if your friends don't get your interest in him, it doesn't matter. You know what (and who) you like.
